Release of any password protected data may threaten archaeological and historical resources. Protected information, such as specific location of resources, are EXEMPT from the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), pursuant to WV Code 29B-1-1 et seq. and are not to be shared with individuals, companies, and/or state or federal agencies that are not directly involved with specific projects for which the research is being conducted. Such information is prohibited from being shared with the public, press releases, videos, popular books, etc.

By submitting an application for access to restricted data you agree to not share account information, such as user name and password with another party. This includes, but not limited to: co-workers, friends, family, and the press.
